Door sill scuff plate... removal..?

I'm going to clean up a rusty sill on my A4 saloon in the next few weeks.. but before I do I'll need to remove the plastic sill scuff plate that runs along the top of the sill into both door apertures.....
It appears to be stuck on with double sided tape... are there any hidden fixings and is it going to be easy to remove or will I end up having to break it and replace?

its just thin double sided sticky foam holding them on, take your time and pick a warm day and you should be able to get them off without breaking

Thanks, thought so, going to get the wife's hair drier on it to help ease the tape off.
