Has anyone else noticed how good the Bluetooth voice dial is.

I find it simple and it always finds the correct name.

I had a Parrot system in my A3 and I must say the System in my New A4 is 10 times better.

Anyone else feel the same or the opposite?

Never used it, I don't really want to have teach it the names in my phonebook, and besides most of the people I need to phone while in the car are on the recent answered/dialed/missed call lists, so I use that instead ..

The system in my A6 is woeful!

And don't get me started on the A3s VC!

My A4 VC has never got a name wrong. The Parrot in my A3 I used to say "Call Ann Kerr" and it would say "I can't find Arm Chair in your phonebook" LOL

Yes I use mine quite a bit very handy, except when you have more than one number for a contact.

Might be worth going through the re-training procedure again perhaps with the engine running to make it a more realistic facsimile of real-life noise levels..

What Bluetooth kit are we talking about? I have a Nokia system at the minute but want to change it for possibly a parrot 9200 so I can also play my music. Does anybody else have any other recommendations?

The Audi factory fit kit. I had the Mki9200 in my A3 and it was pretty crap. VR was woeful

It's always funny to swear at it. You usually get a woeful response like "Pardon?" xD. Haven't taught mine the names in my address book, but its superb for dialing numbers off the cuff. Usually find I have to read it out in blocks of 5 like "01702"..*wait*...12345....etc

What factory kit? Have the concert system in there at the minute, needs to be able to play music from my phone, preferably by Bluetooth and take calls. Don't really want to spend a fortune if I can help it either!

I have the factory fitted phone prep option in my car. It works well but does not stream music.

For music I bought a 32gb sdcard from Amazon and loaded my music onto that, plugged into the radio and all is well.

You obviously don't have the factory fitted phone option?

No factory fitted phone option, just have the Nokia Bluetooth kit at the moment. Don't really want to go down the route of extra memory cards. Use my phone for everything, so already have all my music stored on it. Am also considering wired options, that way should charge the phone at the same time.

Wow you must have a lot of music in the car if you need 32Gig !!

If you have the factory Bluetooth you don't need extra memory cards, as the Bluetooth just connects to the phone and downloads/updates the contacts database which takes a few seconds depending on the phone you are using. However I'm not sure if you can use it for streaming music from the phone, its not something I'd thought of. However the in-call quality of the Audi embedded bluetooth system is better than any other discrete bluetooth system I have used. In fact when people call me they expect me to write things down or look things up because they dont realise I'm in the car a lot of the time.
