As some of you may know I have been in a bit of a battle over my car repairs after I kerbed it big style.

I got the car back from nationwide and noticed a "bump" from the wheels between 25-45mph.
After a test drive Nationwide admitted the fault was present
Nationwide blamed the new wheels that they fitted! and said that as i had specified non vw wheels it was down to me to sort out!!

A quick call to the insurance company and they kicked nationwides *** and the car was duly delivered to VW (JCB Medway)

Despite phoning the service dept several times and them not returning my calls i get a call from the insurance company saying that that JCB had changed the injectors on the car under an overdue recall. and that the policyholder (me ) was happy.
apart from being peed off about the lie I fail to see that chaninging the injectors will cure the fault. especially as i didnt have the noise before.

so my question is what were your cars like before the recall and after?

the noise i am experiencing is like something is wobbling on the wheel or like there is a lump on the wheel that you can feel through the floor of the car with each wheel revolution.

Has anyone experienced a noise/feeling like that?

thanks in advance

No noise or feeling like that here - got a few other gripes, but nothing like that.

Sounds like you have a whell, tyre or driveshaft fault. Perhaps you should take it somewhere else for diagnosis.

Thanks martin.

I was somewhat scathing to the VW garage that injectors would cause that sort of noise. i think there will be a little battle on my hands soon
have to say that my insurance company Quote me happy have been bloody brilliant in all this!

its now going for a 4 wheel geometry with the new wheels fitted and then we take it from there

I will keep you updated
