I have had my 2010 A4 2.0Tdi S-line exec for one week and love it.
The only question I have is I travel mainly country roads with lots of up and down hills.
I have noticed that if the road drops moderately steeply my car seems to slow, almost like it is gently braking by itself. It stops doing this as the road levels out.
Seems a bit strange to me but may be normal.
It does have the stop/Start and brake regeneration and I wonder if this has something to do with it.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks

HI There
See this thread: http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?126119-A4-Avant-s-line-2008-weird-handling
I have exactly the same sensation with my 2008 model, whether it's a feature or a flaw I don't know, but the general consensus in that thread seemed to be they were all like that.

Gregpot2000, Mine handles fine its just the braking effect that i notice more. As i have only had the car a week i will see how it feels over the next month or so.

Perfectly normal. Mine does it everyday at the exact same spots (usually at the crest of a hill) on a fastish road with some nice crests that I communte on.
Interestingly if you open the throttle fully it doesnt do it.... I have experimented.

Yes, know it well mate. I live in Ards and travel to Lisburn every day cross country and it seems to happen on the hills between Carryduff and Lisburn mostly.
I did happen to put the foot down a bit on the way home at the same point and as you say it takes the braking sensation out of it.
Cheers for the reply
