audi 2.8 quattro avant vibration

I have a 2000 x reg quattro avant that has a vibration that runs through the car once i reach 62mph and gets worse as the speed rises but cannot be driven through. HELP!

Did this come on suddenly?
Have you had a local tyre garage check and set all tyre pressure, balance all four wheels. Are all the tyres OK?
