alarm and deadlocks

hi,iv`e just purchased a golf mk4 1.9 tdi. however i`m getting some inconsistency with the alarm and deadlocks. i was told when i purchased the car to press the lock button on the fob once to lock everything and once again to deadlock,the deadlocks are signalled by hazard lights flashing. only sometimes i press the fob once and the hazards flash,and sometimes i have to press them twice,can anybody help :aargh4: thanks.

Same answer to your previous post applies. If it is indeed a faulty drivers door lock, it can cause the remote side of things to play up.
If you try the checks detailed in your previous post to see if anything shows up.
