Hi
I have a 2006 A3 2.0 TDI with 77k on it. I have recently had it serviced and the garage forgot to tighten the fuel filter up properly thus it was leaking diesel.

This has been rectified by the garage but since this I have an intermitentent problem in that whilst driving both the ESP and ABS lights come on. If I stop the car then restart the engine no problems, there appears to be no problems with the breaking just wondering if anyone couls shed some light on the problem / solution
Cheers
Darren

hi mate welcome to the site
funny this ive had a couple of 2lt tdis to service and ive had the filter leak, (noticed it when running the engine up) have you looked to see if diesel has got on to the O/S/F ABS sensor, that could well be causing the problem mate

Hmm brake fluid change, think i would take it back to them and get them to sort it mate, like i said it could just be a sensor, have you had a VCDS code read done yet?

No not had the VCDS code read I take it I would have to take it to Audi to have that done as there is nothing I am aware of near me. I take it they would identify the code for the problem??

have a look in the VCDS location thread, find people near to you and PM them to see if they will plug in and scan your car, they will be able to tell you the fault, saves a trip to the DEALER

I have this problem but from a low speed impact that bent the control arm and hub a little. I'm sure its the bent hub that has messed up the air gap between the ABS sensor and the tooth disc. Is there not onboard flash code reader like OBD1?
