I am starting to think my car is a "Friday afternoon" job.

Going in on the 16th for the second time to sort out my squeaky / rattly doors!

It was fixed for a couple of weeks but is back now with vengeance. :zx11:

is it the rubber or interior trim,
if its the rubber it was on my last A4 when it rained the door rattled it also went in 3 times for a so called special treatment, it never worked lasted a few weeks i then used 3 in 1 silicone spray works for around 8 months before retreatment.

I'm not sure. I am going out with a passenger lunchtime to see if they can work out where its coming from.

I feel for you. I have been plagued with a number of cabin noises (vibrations, rattles, squeaks) in my A7.

Most of the door noises I have had tended to be trim related. They were hard to diagnose because they were also temperature related, and one of them in particular only occurred in the evenings last summer (when it was cool) and weren't easily reproduced when the car was at the dealer during the warmer day. (It also sounded like it was coming from the glove box rather than the passenger door which didn't help!)

The trim noises (once diagnosed) have been easily fixed by the Audi tech by padding with some sort of felt. You can't see the fix but it's very effective.

Do your door noises happen when you are driving at certain speeds, or going over bumps, or when?

Good luck!

Only when I am going along. Funnily enough, I took a colleague with my lunchtime and it didn't make the noise on the passenger side. Makes me wonder if the noise is coming from the seat and his big bum stopped it!

eager to find out what you learn when it goes in to garage to be fixed. My passenger door I fixed by squeezing in some tacky door insulation along the bottom edge but the drivers door rattle is more from the centre - its worse when you rest your arm on the armrest or when you go around corners - so looking to drive with my arm in the air or straight lines only !!!! Wonder if this is a common fault with door trims. My last Audis were absolutely rattle free.

Is getting worse, really spoiling the car for me now and not booked in until the 16th. I have to have music on loud to try to cover it.

Starting to think I should have ordered a Merc! :-(

My car has been with Audi for a couple of days now and I have one of their cars at the moment.

It is a brand new A6 Allroad estate, now this is an odd car!

What is odd about it?

It is more like driving a bus than my normal A6, though I suppose it is the older shape so the 2012 shape may be better.

I know which one I prefer:-)

Ah, so it's a new old one ie not the 'just announced' new model Allroad. I did wonder, as I didn't think they had any in the country yet...

Car is still with Audi and I still have their car.

They can hear the rattle but haven't been able to find where from yet and don't want to return the car until it is sorted. I am hoping they can find it by next week as really do not like the A6 All road.

Finally got my car back Friday afternoon. It turns out the noise they couldn't find was in one of the front interior lights.

All seems okay, so far.......
