Hi

further to my recent post i am now searching out some new alloys
I have found some audi A3 wheels but they are 6.5" as opposed to my current 7"#will that cause a problem at all?

also the offset on the audi wheels is 50 as opposed to my current 45
again will this (combined with the above) cause a problem

thanks in advance

You'll gain 1mm of clearance on the inner edge of the wheel and the wheels will sit 11mm further under the arches.

Sam

ok so it wont cause any problems but will it affect the handling and will it look a bit odd?

Depending on the MY of the A3, they may not even fit at all.

Post 2003 they're the same PCD as the Passat, 5x112, pre 2003 they're 5x100.

You don't mention the sizes before or after so assuming they're the same diameter you wont notice any major difference by swapping to a thinner wheel at all. You may even save some precious MPG.

I'd say they'll look a little odd, but nothing a decent set of spacers wouldn't fix.
