Hello all pleased to be here and a Newbie in the Audi world and to this site.
Just bought 2 weeks back my first Audi A6 (2004) 2.4 petrol SE Auto CVT... with leather etc, runs great despite what I read (After I purchased it!!) about the CVT issues on these models.
At present it has 93k on clock with full audi history, real clean too.
The issue I had the other day was the Emissions Warning Light came on (Yellow non flashing). Took car back to garage where I bought and today they say, and I quote:-
"we have had the vehicle in at the techicians and the fault coming up is the o2 sensor ,they say this can come on when a vehicle has been sitting a while on a forecourt ,it can get blocked so they are going to run a fuel treatment through and reset the light and driving the vehicle will sort this out"
Is this true? When I bought the car the MOT said "Slight exhaust gas leak" which when I asked them they put it in the garage and welded a flexipipe in the exhaust which they said would sort this... My suspicion is it's still to do with this?....
Anyhow great to be here and I hope to iron out all these niggles with the help of all your help and knowledge.
