Multi function display

Just purchased a Passat B6 diesel Sport estate, I am trying to access the menu in M F D
Is it posssible to change coming home lights etc?
Read the handbook and it says only if the car has large M F D screen.
It would seem to have the small screen.
Any advice welcome?

Depends on exact age of the car, but generally if you have the highline display you can change parameters, either using the buttons on the steering wheel if you have them or else the right hand stalk.

If you only have the mid-line display then unfortunately you have to plug in a computer and use VCDS to configure options. It might be different if your car is quite a late model, 'cos I'm only speaking of experience up to 2008.

If you have the latter option and choose to have someone do it for you I have a recommendation. Disable the "auto windows up/down with key buttons" function. It is turned on by default but is a great way to get a car full of rain if you park up and inadvertantly have the key fob crunched up in a pile of something you are carrying. Been there, done that.
