HI All,

Took car out today and all well. Left it parked for an hour and when I set off back home no sound from the radio. Tried switching to my iPod and that just said "Loading". I stopped and started the car but it looks like the MMI only went into standby and did not do a complete reset - still no sound. Tried an FM station etc, but no change.

This is the MMI 3G with DAB.

I had this happen once on our A1 (which has a similar system) and an off/on cycle was enough to fix it. I think they updated the software on this at the first service, hasn;t happend since anyway.

Any ideas? Is there a way to force a cold boot ?

I've left it off and parked up for a couple of hours so it wil probably start working again when I go out this afternoon.

Cheers

Dave

There's a software update available for this apparently. Addresses a number of 'No Sound' issues.

I had the same problem occur yesterday, but preceded by a load bang. All sound lost, music, radio, even sat nav voice. Hours later despite all efforts - to no avail - suddenly started working, albeit with no volume, then that started. All seemed fine for 24 hours then stopped again following loud bang.
Talking to Audi garage, but not getting anywhere fast so wondered how you got on?
