Hi there
My gti has developed what feels like a misfire at low revs. It stopped starting recently and tracked this down to a knackerd rotor arm and distributer cap so replaced them and did the spark plugs while I was at it. This fixed the not starting but since it has been misfiring and juddering at low revs but above 2500 it clears and pulls fine. Would changing the rotor arm change the ignition timing? I need to sell the car and need this sorted quick any ideas appreciated.
It's an oak green 3 door btw if anyone maybe interested will be priced to sell quick loads of extras including original leather interior

Thanks in advance

you are experience the same problems im having, car revs fine when at a stand still, but when you put it under load (driving) it judders like a misfire upto about 3000 rpm, ive replaced every thing ignition wise, ht leads, dissy cap , rotar arm , coil , plugs , and this weekend i found the problem, its the 5th injector, its at the side of the fuel rail with a blue plug on it, take it off and it will run sweet as a nut, i think whats happening its either not turning off or weeping through the seal over fueling it at low revs at higher revs it doesnt matter, i think this will help you
