Hi, I recently bought 4 Pirelli P6000's for my A4 and I had the miss fortune to have a puncture on the rear left whilst going round a right hand bend at 60 MPH on a country road, did a 360 and fortunately didn't hit anything, trees, sheep etc. I took the shredded tyre to where I bought them and they are saying this wasn't a tyre failure but the alloy rubbing on the tyre? I can't make any sense out of there explanation as the alloy sit's on the tyre.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has had any problems with Pirelli’s?
PS. the car's fine but I did need to change my Boxers after the spin..

Bl**dy hell... never heard that before!! Was everything else ok with the car, balance, etc... well so far I only heard good things about the Pirelli P6000's because the compound is harder than the usual, and they are designed for long life and fuel economy over performance... despite this, I still prefer the F1 GSD3 specially with this kind of weather.
Anyway if it was me, I would go there again and ask them what did they meant.

I bet you did!! :P
I ran with 15" P6000s for a few years with no problems at all. Sounds like you either got a defective tyre or a defective fitter.
Please say it wasn't Kwik Farce?

It was a local dealer in Skipdale (North Yorkshire) Took the tyre in this morning and they are sending it off to Pirelli for futher investigation. If the tyre was at fault I will get some of the money back. I aked would I get more money as I ruined a nice pair of boxers. The fitter didn't even smile. I'll not be going there again!
I'll keep you posted if I get to hear anything back that is!
I'm not going to hold my breath on this one.. :(
