Haven't looked yet, but since ECP have a sale starting tomorrow - I was thinking about doing the pollen filter. Any thoughts on using the active-carbon types? Easy job (must be I know....)

Cheers,
Dan.

Hadn't got to the old faithful google yet, but I had someone telling me it was on the RIGHT side under the plastic cover....which I'd had off last week and couldn't see it. Will get that sorted then. Thanks mate :)

Good opportunity to check the bulkhead drain holes are clear and give the wiper mechanism joints a smear of marine grease too. http://serve.mysmiley.net/happy/happy0004.gif (http://www.mysmiley.net)

Did mine earlier this year as wipers were going slow. Didn't completely overhaul it, but did remove and thoroughly clean it, then lubed it up! http://serve.mysmiley.net/happy/happy0034.gif (http://www.mysmiley.net)

Any thoughts on either of the options ECP have on offer for a B6 - or should I get elsewhere?
Cheers,
Dan.

Just checked mine and the rubber grommet nearest the brake servo was blocked. Ended up stripping out the battery, as that's the only way to access. Washed the whole area with mild detergent and rinsed it. My wipers had decided to go slow yesterday, so greased them again.

Remind me to do this job again in a year! http://serve.mysmiley.net/happy/happy0034.gif (http://www.mysmiley.net/free-innocent-smileys.php)

Just received the pollen filter from CarParts4Less - didn't get the Hengst, but a Valeo that kindly came with an instruction sheet. Job done :) I think from now on the servicing and multitronic oil change can be done at the main dealer and I'll do pollen/air myself as as you guys say - gives you a chance to do other things as well :)
