Changing battery on A4 3.0 sport Cab 2003

Old battery finally fied on me on Sunday, have bought a new Bosch one from ECP and going to fit it tomorrow morning, are there any do's/dont's to remember, other than the obvious?

Does it need leaving/resetting etc one connected up? Any difficulties getting the old one out, new one in?

on ecp website mate, was either £90 or £94, 4 year warranty

You'll need a long allen key to get at the battery clamp

Cheers people, yup found a guide online this morning Kite and see I need a long reach 6mm allen key, cheers mate


The batter I bought is:

S4 12V 740A (EN) 80Ah

Does this sound right? Its just the new battery is about 3" longer than the current one? New one is a 6 cell, got a slight feeling (im not at home to look) the old one might only be 4 cell? Could it of had a smaller battery on for a while and me not noticed? i'm assuming ECP gave me the correct one
