Windscreen Washer pump failure?

Hi all. My windscreen washers on my 06 passat have stopped working. Perfect timing in the middle of this stinking weather! I had problems wirh the jets blocking last year and replaced them. I've used th VW washer fluid since then to try to avoid issues. Its not the jets this time though. If i disconnect the jets there is still nothing coming out of the pipe. In fact there is no noise from the pump when i try to squirt. There is still a click when trying so it seems like its still trying to send power to the pump(?). The fuse is ok too.
Anyone know if this sounds like the pump has gone? Is this common? Has anyone here had this happen and how much did it cost to fix. Or is it an easy diy job?

It may be the pump has failed but the wires to the pump often get damaged. You will have to take the wheel liner off to view the pump and wiring.
