Any owners in Argyll and Bute?

I'm a new owner of a 2001/02 GT TDi 1.9. I've come from a BMW 528i M-Sport which was traded in for an Impreza then QUICKLY change for the Golf. Bearing in mind these 2 previous cars, I'm wondering about the power output of the TDi. It's supposed to be a 115bhp model (could be 110 though, jeez) but it doesn't seem to "pull" like turbo diesels I have driven through work. I'm wondering if anyone is local with the same model that could take it for spin and see if it is comparable. It's a long shot but you gotta ask. Oh, ran VAGCOM and initially had an error code:

Can you read the engine code and power output (in kW) from the sticker in the spare wheel well? Your readout has the letters AGR - this is a 90 ps TDI engine code and should read 66kW if your car has this engine.

I'll have a look Batteryman, just collected the car from its service so will have a goosey. Just had a look at the dipstick also. Oil is pitch black, is that normal for an oil change?
