Hi,I am new to this forum site so this is my first posting so be patient.
I have searched the forum site for an answser to my question already but do not seem to be able to find the correct one:-
I have recently purchased an Audi A4Tdi SLINE AVANT (B8 Model reg Nov 2008)with NAV -MMI....6cd changer etc.It has the AUX port in the armrest which will play MP3 through the IPod etc but obviously no control through the head unit.
I want to retrofit AMI in the glovebox.Audi are quoting an high figure.(Glovebox mods /replacement needed,I know to accomodate unit)
There are a few around to buy but not sure of the model no.or the diff between the 2G AND 3G MMI.
What is the difference between AMI UNIT part no.4E0 057 785F and 8T0 035 785A..
The retrofit kits seem to give a full listing of the correct cables with each model but not sure which AMI unit and cables to order.Is one for 2G and the other for 3G??
Audi sales staff being cagey because the obviously want the business!!
