Hi folks
I have been cleaning up my 1.9 130 for selling and I regrettably lifted the bonnet and gave it a quick rinse with the pressure washer - big mistake because its now running rough. There is no turbo until you get up to 3000rpm and then it boosts and away you go, until you change gear and the process starts again.

This was last Saturday, I thought id let it dry for the week but it has made no difference. I unplugged the MAF and the pressure? sensor on the air pipe at the back of the engine and cleaned the connections with contact cleaner but that made little difference.

Does anybody have any ideas? I could really do with getting this sorted quick to get it sold.

Cheers

Could have got water in your boost pressure sensor n75 valve in the front of your car by the radiator I think.

i had this years ago and it was the usual water build up around the battery.

Think you might be onto something there Arman, where exectly is that and what does it look like? Need to be replaced or dried out? Its not water in the battery tray because Ive sorted that already, after a scary moment with no brakes a helpful guy at audi managed to get it sorted and a fit a new brake servo FOC, which was nice.

I have just got a fault code reader and have come up with 3 fault codes after scanning:

17552 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Open/Short to Ground
17965 Charge Pressure Contr. Positive Deviation
17996 Engine mount solenoid valves Open circuit

Does anyone have any ideas? I have cleaned the MAF connection, and the MAF was changed a year and a half ago. The engine was running when I cleaned it.

Should I delete these and take it for a run and see what comes up again?

Right, I have cleared the codes and took it for a run and it was running fine, turbo kicking in early and power up to the red line, so its out of whatever limp mode it was in.

I scanned it again after the run and the 17996 engine mount solenoid code is back up, what is it? Is this a problem?
