As the title suggestsi,m having trouble pairing my phone to the Rnse blutooth on my car. The car being a 2007 a4 3.0 l with Rnse.
I have in the past paired up my old nokia's, but no luck with this one.
I have searched old posts in research, but find nothing of value at the moment.
Up until now, i have tried by making sure my phone is visable, and have tried pairing with the vehicle, ignition on first turn without starting and always within 2 minutes.
I have noticed that there are several functions on the phones blutooth, but only 1 setting for the cars blutooth, and that being when in phone mode and pressing setup, you get to imput a 4 digit number, i,ve tried the usual 0000, i,ve also given the same number i used for pairing my wifes phone too mine, BUT NOTHING WORKS, please give any help if possible or links to suitable posts.
I am unable because of a move to put my hands on the radio's handbook.
thanks john:Blush2:
Try 1234 or 4321. As you've paired other phones in the past, you should know the 'routine' and the code the car emmits will always be the same, default code.

Thanks ben,
At the moment i,ve tried everything, the only thing i can think of is the blutooth is switched off on the car.
I did setup a cradle for my nokia 12 months ago which worked a treat, obviously never needing to use blutooth again........ so i am wondering wheather thats turned the blutooth off on the car, now all i need to do is work out if i can use vcds to check everythings ok with the cars blutooth.
thanks anyway.

Thanks kite,
i've just come in from the car, my wifes phone paired no problem, so i think it must just be this phone, although i have managed to pair it up with my daughters and sons phone.
Is it possible the galaxy is not compatable.
john
my galaxy S2 pairs and works fine with my BT.
I,ll check my phone settings...

Just did my daughters samsung galaxy s2 and paired up fine, it found AUDI UHV 6229, Not sure what the numbers mean.
The bluetooth interface on the S2 IS:-
1 BLUETOOTH.
2 DEVICE NAME.
3 VISIBLE.
4SEARCH FOR DEVICES.
The Bluetooth interface on the galaxy mini is:-
1 BLUETOOTH.
2 DEVICE NAME.
3 VISIBLE.
4 SCAN DEVICES.
So no real difference with the exception of search devices or scan devices.

OK, numbers are nothing to worry about, mine is 6578..
Make your phone visible and search for devices mine only stays visible for around a minute, might be worth doing it in the car.

Thanks kite,
i.ve tried it in the car, probably about 20 times, i'm either missing the obvious or its just not going to pair.
I've paired up 3 phones tonight, so i can,t see what else i can do.
I,ll do a factory reset on the phone and see if it makes a difference.
Anyway thanks for your imput, its very kind of you to spare the time.
nonproblem, hope you get it sorted, let us know the outcome......good or bad...

Thanks kite, and all the others who posted replies,
Finally got there,
It seems at least with the Galaxy mini, you must have the phone in a completely idle state, by this i mean you cannot have any applications running, including data roaming, wifi etc, to be sure i also did a factory reset.
So with your help and the final outcome, i hope this topic can be of some help to those who may in the future purchase the samsung mini.
Again many thanks
john
