I had the ABS sensors changed last week as the ABS kept kicking in when braking at slow speeds. That cured that problem but I thought it was related to the traction control light which keeps coming on but it seems it isn't as that light is still coming on.
I've done a VAGCOM scan and it's saying the engine control module is faulty. What is it that needs to be replaced to fix this?

Many thanks, Ste

Judging on similar threads I think I need to post the actual code no here. I will do so tomorrow as that's when other problems are being fixed and I have access to VAGCOM.

Thanks,

mine was doing same thing, the abs would kick in at low speeds i.e parking. then when it rained the abs light would flag up and turned out that it was the abs sensor on the front o/s needed replacing

I've replaced both of them already and it hasn't cured the problem.

I did another VAGCOM scan the other day and it said it was the ABS engine control module. Not sure what that is though.

Not sure if you've tried this, but my light was coming on and vagcom showed control unit fault. I read on here about checking the 3 fuses on top of the battery. When i initially looked at them they looked fine, but after removing them and clearing the whitish corrosion from the spade of the fuse and replacing, light has gone out and stayed out.

A quick and easy fix. I thought too good to be true but it did the trick for me.
