I'm wanting new alloys, below are the exact spec of both alloy and tyre. Is the alloy wheel ok for the Passat and more importantly, are the tyres suitable for the Passat Saloon? I've underlined the load index as I presume this to be of most importance? However I'm not sure? Thanks!

Hmm I cant find the 8x17 bit, regardless to that however is the lowest load index is 91, is this just to be safe or if I go lower will all 4 tyres pop??
How's the rest of the wheels sound, is the offset ok, what is the ET of sport alloys??
Cheers guys!

Rim is grand, tyre is not. You'll need 235/45/17 or even 245/45/17 with at least 91 load index.

For a 17" wheel the lowest load rating type approved for the B6 is 94.
If you go lower than that you will need to declare that you have lower load rated tyre than those approved for your car. That's on top of declaring the non standard alloys.
Dont skimp on tyres, they are what give your car it's feel as well as it's braking and handling performance.
When I used to attend Scooby track days a friend of mine bought a scooby with 19's and 235 Marshall tyres. The car was appalling to drive, no turn in bite, understeer, vague and dead steering, on track cars with 100bhp less were overtaking him. After 3 attempts altering the geometry he bought a set of 17's with Conti sports, it was a different car to drive, sure footed, responsive steering and a far better track car.
I know you want the car to look good but at the expensive of making it poor to drive? Treat it to some decent rubber.
Cheers
