Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the minimum steel wheel size is for 312mm disks? (or whatever the 2.5tdi quattro disks are?)

Im wanting some for winter tyres and dont want to go buy some 15" steelies if they wont fit!

The smallest alloy ive seen is 16" and most people ive spoken to seem to think i need 16" steelies too. Offset would be awesome too if you know it.

16" is the smallest rim you can fit over 312mm brakes... I suggest you get a set of cheap 16" alloys as they are much more common, 16" might be found on golf mk5, transporter t5 and some mercedes but you will need spigots for the later due to the larger hub hole. Also some b5/b5.5 passats had steel spare wheels even though they came with factory fitted 16" aloys but it would take a little longer to gather a set of 4 !
