Fast forwarding MP3s on MMI

My wife and I tend to use a combination of audio books and music on long journeys (partially because our music tastes do not always match!). As the A4 has no CD changer we load the audio books onto SD cards instead.

Play back is fine. Fast-forward however is awful - not much faster than playing the thing. Is this normal or am I missing a trick?

If you have a B7 you haven't got MMI. It'll be the RNS-E headunit in your car.

F/Fwd on SD cards is pretty poor sadly, it should speed up a bit after a few seconds but its still not brilliant. Its old technolgy though, as that headunit has been around for quite a few years now.
