Recently I have noticed the car shudders around 70+ mph. It only happens when I let go of the accelerator. I have done the tracking and the wheel balance. The shudder comes from the O/S front wheel. I have no idea where to look and what to do.

Any suggestions guys??

On one of my old cars it was linked to the clutch/ flywheel. I seem to remember it was the release bearing.

Have you noticed this before the remap?.

After the remap, new flywheel and clutch was fitted last August. Is the release bearing expensive job to repair?

Fingers crossed Zeb its not.

I had the perfect car for a remap the same as you. Remap fitted and clutch could not cope. Only option uprated stage 2 clutch and solid fly. Problem solved.

I hope its something else and not the flywheel. There is a knocking noise coming from the O/S front wheel, whenever I go around corners. I was thinking it could be the wheel bearing causing the problem.

Ah now you said knocking round corners it sound like outer driveshaft cv joint gone. Have you noticed any grease around inner wheel arch? If so possible cv boot gone, no grease around joint and joint buggered.

There is grease around the joint, and I can see the rubber joint is not intact. I will take the wheel off and see for any damage. This morning when I steered left and right the wheels were making a strange noise. Was getting abit worried, cause I was heading towards the motorway.

Sorry to say it Zeb, but the joys of lowering a car. You will put more stress and strain on the driveshafts etc..... When I had money to burn chipping my cars and lowering were a must.

If thats the case, then I will replace it with a new one or go for an aftermarket one.

Sounds like you need the cv joint replacing to get rid of the wheel knocking. Did the shudder start after the remap. Poor remaps often cause this type of problem. Only way to tell is to put original map back.

Yes, shudder happened after the remap. Will contact the garage that did my remap. CV joint will be replaced soon, don't have the time right now. I can feel the shudder from the O/S front wheel. It's like a massive thump noise when going around corners.
