Hi guys.
One of my passenger side washer jets is blocked and the other one on that side isn't great so the water on the drivers side is way to high.
I finally gut round to having a look at it today but what I saw wasn't what I was expecting.
I was expecting to see some pipework which I could unclip and then maybe just unclip/ remove the jet to clean it.
But. It all looks to be inclosed. All I saw was an oval shaped disc, do I just remove this.? Only that it looked easily snapable.?
Anybody got any experience with this.?
Tony.

havent had a chance to look at my a6 yet but going by experience with previous cars i just used a pin to poke into the washer jets and that seemed to work for me, it also worked with moving the direction of spray?????

I'm interested in this answer. Mine are skewed and I have tried (very hard) and failed to move the little blighters with a pin. Is there a trick ? Locking screw or what ?
On a 2008 saloon I couldn't move them with a pin either - they seemed solid so I left them alone as they weren't too bad.

THe workshop manual refers to a specific vag tool fr adjusting these. Look like a needle but I guess the body would be stronger than that of a pin.
Anybody seen this for sale?
I looked but cant find it

I reckon a small drill bit might do the trick....say a 1mm or maybe slightly smaller. Just need to make sure it doesn't snap off while your adjusting it!

That would be risky.they gunge up and need freeing with some hot water or hair drier then should move with a pin which will bend not break and once moving give them a few wiggles back and forth to free the ball movement.Ideally adjust regularly to stop them getting stuck

I did mine yesterday to clear a couple of blocked jets on the driver's side.
Open the bonnet and you will see the washer jets as a large oval shape, place your fingers on the leading edge and pull backwards. They are connected by a water feed and electrcal connector, just release these and the washer jet comes free. I then used a thin piece of wire and poked it through the jets and blew from both sides. re-installed and all is fine.
