My drivers seat has gained an annoying squeak when driving and it seems to be coming from the rear of the base's NS. Its a squeak that sounds like bad springs like in an old sofa or bed.
Its almost 4 years old and has done 65k so I'm assuming its normal wear and tear or is there a simple fix that I could easily do myself?
Thanks :)
Hi, had a similar issue. I took it to Audi mechanic shop, they've dismounted the seat put some lubrication on the spots where seat is mounted to floor and the noise was gone :D
You may try this see if it helps your problem.

Thanks for your reply.
I see that you're in Europe, how much did it cost to get it fixed in Euros roughly?
Thanks :)

Reviving an old thread out of curiosity as I have the same issue with my B6 driver's seat. Did you ever get this resolved and was it the same resolution as was required with a4si?

Did you even chase the issue up or just not bother?

I can't remember back that far but I think I was meant to mention it at the next service but forgot and got use to the noise from there.

Nice one ;)
Familiar with that part of the town but never heard of them before. Might just call in and see what they think about the wind noise. Thanks again.

Quick preliminary update; after reading about people using compressed air to clear the rails of the seat I ran out to car to try and no joy. I believed I have localised it to the bottom of the back of the seat more so towards the right hand side (door side) and resembles a squeaky bed. Worse when turning bends and your weight shifts. Then a thought occurred to me, I have my seat lowered right down using the we arm at the side (not sure of its technical term) so upon raising it and jumping about on my seat like a maniac the squeak has gone. On lowering the seat down again it reappears, on raising it even slightly it disappears. I am hoping that I may be on to something. Just thought I'd run that by you just in case it may help.
