hi, tryed remaping my car today with ecutecktune and the remap failed, the alternative is to send my ecu away and have a chip instaled? im i being filled with s##t or is it right? my car is a audi a3 1.8 t sport 150bhp agu anyone ever heard of this?
Filled with soot?
What year is the A3, I'm guessing around the early 2000s, in which case Revo or AmD will do it without removing the ECU, others wont.
EcuTekTune appears to be for Japanese cars (Mitsi, Subaru, Mazda)

On VAG group vehicles to remap "down the plug" the easiest way to check if this is available is if the car is " drive by wire " if it has a throttle cable it will most probably be a chip change - if it is drive by wire then it most probably can be remapped via the plug
gernerally this is around mid 2001 but theres always a few oddities
like tdi versions that need fuse 11 removing before they will read/write
