Hey - first post, had a bit of a read around and couldn't see anything on this.

My GF has a 2010 a3 non turbo and it starts then immediately shuts down on the first start of the day (fine on any subsequent start) has had new injector pump and new fuel pump both on fault codes, however now it has the same issue with no code thrown.

I'm thinking it's a priming issue, and was wondering how the electric priming works on these fandangled new cars (eg when does it prime and for how long).

Obviously being a new car it's all warranty work but I would like to point Audi in the right direction if I can.

Cheers for a
Good forum guys

Sounds like an immobiliser issue.

Ah k - does the immobiliser in these let the car start?? All my older cars it has disabled ignition or starter or both

Yes, the immobiliser lets the car run for a second and then cuts the engine, at least I think so 0n a 2010, not hand much to do with them yet.

Ok I'll get the mechanic to investigate - seems weird it only happens first start tho - stoopid electronics lol
