Hello I Was wondering what the best type of spark plugs and coil packs for my model car would be. ( could someone point me to a website?) I'm up around 80k. I was also planing on swapping out the fuel filter as I'm not sure the last time it was changed also are there any other quick things I could change as in doing a basic turnup, tips thoughts. I've done cabin and turbo air filter and even changed my pvc valve when the car started to idle funny and blow oil all over my engine. I feel someone savvy. thanks in advance if you take the time to type your thoughts and respond :biglaugh:

Your car my be subject to a Product Enhancement Campaign (28E9) to replace you coil packs free of charge, mine was. Just give the Audi service dep't a call and give them your reg no. The diaphram on the Recirculation Valve for the turbo are also prone to tearing causing loss of boost. Worth a look to see if you have the latest revision.

thank you for your reply "diaphram on the Recirculation Valve for the turbo" what is this part called and part number and do you think this is something I can swap out I should I bring to dealer for this? I was trying to do most of the repairs myself to save a little money

Current version of the 'N249' Recirc' valve is 06H145710D.
This is a much modified plastic skirted factory version, that replaces the unreliable factory version with the rubber diaphragm.
Can be done d.i.y. if you can get the car on some ramps as access from underneath is a lot easier (even though undertray has to come off)

Newer version on the left (old type on right.. obviously)
*google 'N249 on 2.0tfsi' or similar to get an idea on ease of fitment and where to find it on the engine
(* other search engines are available ;-] )

To begin with, my car just seemed a bit gutless. I couldn't put my finger on it but it didn't seem as keen as was when i first got it. I took it to Ecotune to get it scanned which returned no faults. I then got my car Remapped by the same guys and the Diaphram failed on one of the Proving runs. Im assuming the extra boost was too much for the already failing Valve.
I managed to change mine from the top. I removed the Air duct to give a bit more space and used a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with the Torx attachment, Use a small mirror to see what you are doing when you are removing the Multiplug. 15 mins job done.

thank you Roonster (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/member.php?102881-Roonster) now that I think about it it does seem abit slower off the start like it's lost a little power thanks for the tip. I ordered new plugs, coils and a fuel filter. the fuel filter should be fun to change out I'll have to wait for my next paycheck then the valve
my very own money pit always wanted one :aargh4:
