My clutch doesn't spring back up on occasion and stays fully on the floor, there is also leak of Brake/Clutch fluid.

I've been told it is the cylinders
Apparently there are 2 : 1 for the clutch/gearbox and 1 for the pedal.
Is this correct?

Hi

I had the same problem with my 2000 bora tdi, the pedal kept sticking on the floor until one day as I was pulling away I heard a bang and the pedal hit the floor stalling the car.

Your right about there being two cylinders, this it due to the clutch being hydraulic and not the conventional cable system.

Anyway I had to get the whole pedal and the cylinder on the foot well replaced.

If you havent got to the bottom yet I hope this helps.:biglaugh:
