Hi I'm new to the Audi world

I have just brought a 3L A4 Allroad (10) that I'm over the moon with and have a question.

I'm missing the rear 3L badge, thats not a great problem, however the quattro badge is upside down - is this correct? - I can't find any close up pictures on the web - I like things to be in the correct position....... :biglaugh:

Nope. Definitely should be the right way up.

Don't want to worry you but you might want to give it a closer check for any signs of repair, overspray etc. Either that or the person that put it on had a bit of a heavy night.

I'm sure the most likely explanation is that the original buyer had the capacity deleted as an option but didn't realise that this meant the rear quattro badge wouldn't be on there either and decided put it on themself. But upside down. :hitwithro

I bought mine wihout the badges but I do know that they are never upside down.

I would agree with NickH and just make sure that there is no accident damage but I suspect that the original owner was just having a laugh by putting the badge on upside down.

They are very easy to remove with a hairdryer so if you want to remove it and replace it with the correct ones it is not difficult.

Good luck

Just had a look at this thread and I realised I had a picture of the badges of a loan A4 I had a while ago,

I have a funny feeling that around 2010/11 the badges just changed to TDI with the quattro badge directly underneath. I'll have a look now.

HTH.

Edit -
A June 2010 car has:

And a August 2010 car has:

Just had a look at a July 2010 car and it still has the engine badge too, so the badges changed in August 2010.

Many thanks for your replies to what with hindsight was a daft question!!!

I had it valeted, polished/waxed yesterday and had a closer look, it has ideed had a repair carried out to the lower tailgate this explains the upside down badge.

It also has a dent in the under bumper protection trim.

I brought the car from a main dealer through an agent, he is coming to have alook at it next week.

Overall I'm very impressed with the car
