For the last few years I have had a slight power delivery problem and I thought it was time to sort it out. The last time it was in the garage they could not figure out what was the fault.

It appears to be at around 1500-1800 revs, when you accelerate through that area I sometimes get a slight jerkiness as if there is either a fuel delivery issue or perhaps drive slip. It has not got better or worse over the 2 years. It's most noticeable in gears 1 or 2 and is most noticeable When I am on a slight incline particularly after making a turn from a junction to the incline. This maybe because I am moving slowly and applying power. I hope I have described the fault clearly for you to understand. Anybody got any ideas?

Presumably no fault codes are stored? If so, my first step on most cars is to take a chance on replacing the Air Mass Meter. These are reasonably priced at only the cost of a couple of hours non franchised dealer labour. I ONLY fit genuine VAG dealer supplied AMM’s though, not from anywhere else under any circumstances, not even genuine yellow box Bosch.
