hi guys
for a few weeks now my 2litre azm passat has been running poor .lack of power also very thirsty on petrol and being very restricted on acceleration. on lifting foot off of accelerator the car feels like its being starved of oxygen and slows from 60mph to 40ish in secs ,its not brakes binding as they've all been done last year.
last night prior to going to work i disconnected the air mass plug and drove it to work and what a different car it was , went up gears smoother and on lifting foot off pedal it took ages to slow down and acceleration was very improved , fuel consumption went up from 28mpg ave to 34mpg ave . think air mass filter is dying slowly , any ideas appreciated.
