Crap customer service from Kwik-Fit, not really surprised!

I need 4 new tyres and the alignment checked as there is uneven wear which was picked up on my service yesterday. The outside of the fronts is worn more than the rest.

With the lowered S line suspension I would have thought the inside would wear first if anything.

Anyway Leaseplan have agreed to let the garage check the geo/alignment etc which is good news but I had to get Kwik-Fit to do the tyres.

Phoned them up this afternoon, they say they have to do a report first. Fair enough I thought, here's how the rest of the conversation went.

Me
Can I bring it in this evening to do the report?
KF
No we're too busy.
Me
I can come in Friday, what time?
KF
We don't do appointments
Me
How long will it take to do the report?
KF
Not long
Me
Well if I bring it in will there be a long wait
KF
Probably
Me
Is there any chance someone could do the report then I could book it in for another day?
KF
Yes but we'll need to do the report first
Me
Okay, so if I bring it down you don't have anybody that could do a quick report? So I could potentially have to wait for some time just to get a quick report done?
KF
Yeah, that's just the way it is
Me
That's not very helpful, I'll be going somewhere else
END

I didn't expect too much but their customer service on that occasion was poor.

Phoned Leaseplan and they have now agreed to authorise the garage to do the tyres too, at least I know it will be in safe hands.

the geo on the back of my car (with lowered s-line) was way out from new. Ended up with 6mm on the outside and down to the canvas on the very insides.

That's useful to know, they'll be doing a full geo and I'll ask for the pre and post setup so that I can see the difference.

They told me my car was too low to fit on their ramp to check the alignment the last time i went, even though its standard height (i.e. not lowered). Ive not used kwik-fit since then.

The only reason Kwik Fit are still around is that they skillfully managed to sign deals to force all users from most of the major lease companies to use them.

I personally wouldn't soil my shoes on their forecourt !
