hi there, i'm looking to purchase front and rear disc rotor for my 2007 A4B7 1.8T Avant, what are the things i should be looking out for other than making sure that the dimension fits??? I've found out from my local audi dealer that my front is 312mm x 25mm and my rear is 255mm x 12, so is it a case of as long as the aftermarket rotor dimension is the same it will fit my car?? Are there anything other things to look out for?

Hope someone here can help me out.

I think the common suggestion is to stick with genuine Audi parts for discs and pads since they are guaranteed to fit correctly, unless you spend a lot more and get some performance ones.

I had my front discs and pads changed by Audi at 80K, I am now on 168K and the Discs and pads are in good condition. The car recently passed an MOT, and looking through the alloy I can still see that the pads have a lot of meat left on them still, which amazes me. I do 25K a year of motorway driving which is probably why they have lasted so long, but had they had been cheaper pads and discs I do not believe they would still be going strong.

i bought over this car just a couple of months back, mileage was about 60K and was told that i need to change rotors and pads which are pretty worn down... I did change my pads to Hawk HPS so now int he process of hunting for the rotor.
