Hi all,

Took it to a local (trusted) mechanic who gave it a proper once over; all is fine.

So here it is, I'll give it a proper clean once I get around to it:

I do miss the space in the A6 Avant as well as a few other things such as the courtesy lights on the doors, air vents/12V socket in the rear, storage compartments on all doors, big boot, turbo etc.

I'm looking into buying a the above car today and wondered if there's anything I should be looking out for, common problems etc. 120K on the clock full audi SH.

I've just seen it and most likely will buy within an hour or two. So just a chance post if anyone can reply/advise in time before I part with my money!

Thanks! ;)

Just got back, with my a new car, well new to me anyway. Technically it's not here yet, needs HT/sparks done then will collect tomorrow. £4575 Inc HPI and 3 month warranty. 124k with FASH.

You'll love your new B7 :) Is that the 2.0 petrol or TDI you gone for, seems a very reasonable price.

2L petrol. Had a4 avant B4 then a6 B6 now this one. My brother just emailed me a few scare stories about the place I bought it from that he Googled, regarding false HPI's and stuff. Might just do my own HPI tonight before I collect tomorrow and pay off balance. Put £100 down on it.

Called up today (checks time) I mean yesterday as I was instructed to, but they haven't had a chance to get it in the workshop, so need to call again tomorrow. It does say on the deposit slip/recipt that if it's not collected in three days they will put it back up for sale; I hope it doesn't count the time I'm waiting for them...

Things just aren't going well at all. Due to unforseen circumstances I can't collect now until the weekend; not good.

Ah yes pain in the a*** waiting for money to clear- I had the same trouble when I bought mine, waited ages and ages for loan money to be paid in but took forever- as a private sale I gave seller £200 deposit to hold the car as he was in a hurry to sell.

Yeah I put some money down on it too, was worried that I might lose it but he was ok.

Looks really good- any plans on upgrading wheels?, I always thought the 16s look a little lost on the A4. I had an Avant SE before my current car with 17" star alloys, pics in my profile

Enjoy!

Ideally there are a few things I'd like to do, wheels would be one of them. However, funds are fairly low so any upgrading will take a back seat, infact, it'll be right at the back of the bus. :(

Will take some proper photos of it after I've picked it up. Will take some getting used to a slightly smaller car from my A6 Avant 1.9TDi (C5). It's got part leather and part suede interior and I've been told this is S-Line interior spec. To be honest I'm not entirely sure what/how that compares with the standard SE?

Well I picked this up today, will try and take pics tomorrow although it'll be a busy day.

Why do I feel the need to keep checking autotrader and justifying my purchase???
