Engine management light

Morning all!

I jump starting my car about a month ago and the EM light came on straight away and hasnt gone off since.

Just looking for peoples general though on this?

Also, on cold start it makes quite a loud almost rattling sound for a couple of seconds

my help on either would be awesome!

Mine came on once when I stalled the engine and wouldnt go off again. I disconnected the battery and left it off for a few minutes and then re connected it. The light went off after this and I havent had any problems since.

Mine has been on and off a couple of times in the two years I have had the car - each time a sensor in the engine has needed replacing.
