Hi just took socket out of ecu for cruise control wire to go in no 20 hole but another wire allready in no 20 any help car. April 2008 passat saloon with cr enguine

Why would you be looking to replace wires for cruise control on a 2008 car. The wires have been built into most cars for years. What instructions have you got ?

Thanks for reply the company that came to fit cruise to my car saide the feed for the kit goes into no 20 hole in the socket that came out of ecu but wire allready in no 20 he traveled 100 miles to fit it

Sounds like an idiot. All you do is pull the 20 pin connector off the steering control module and check that pin 16 has a wire in it. This is the wire that goes to the engine ecu. If this is present, you are good to go.
