Brake / gearbox faulty?

Hi all

I have posted this problem together with another problem of mine before, but didn't get too much info, as the other problem dominated that post. So here we go again :)

My car "jumps" forward when braking, just before it comes to complete stop. It feels, as it either the brake "releases" itself for a fraction of a second, or the clutch does that?

It has better days, when the symptom dissappears, and worse when it becomes very persistent. I've also noticed, that once the car does some motorway running, it usually gets better for some time again.

It's the infamous MULTITRONIC gearbox, 1.9 tdi, 2004 model A4.

Anyone with a similar problem out there?

does it still do it when using the manual gear change part of the auto? sounds very much like a box fault, think i would start with a box oil change

what mileage is the car on?

It's got 95k, and I have had the oil changed about 2 months ago, I'll try the manual mode, though, will update, thank you.

Well, two days of driving in "manual" mode, about 2 hrs of urban driving alltogether, and so far no problems, I guess I'm gonna have to try a bitt longer, as the car has better and worse days.
