I've been thinking about getting an rs4 grill for my a4 s line. Now the grills can be quite expensive. I've seen rs4 designed mesh on eBay. Could this be applied to my current grill with good effect. Has anybody done this? Does the mesh go on top of the current grill or can the current grill inserts be taken out then apply the apply mesh.

Thanks

You could do that I guess but its never going to look as good.

You risk ruining and cheapening the look of your car by bodging it. I'd save up the extra cash for the genuine article or leave well alone to be honest.

Isn't the grill a part of the bumper?

Also hardcore, are you the guy asking about the drls recently?
If so get in touch and I'll show you what I've done with mine.

Thanks. No it wasn't me who was talking about the drls, but would love to see pics of what you done. No the grill is not part of the bumper as far as I know. I've seen them sold on eBay.

The grille is a separate item- where people get confused is that the s-line, S4 and RS4 grilles are not compatible with the standard,SE and DTM bumpers as they are a deeper section.
