Hi,

Just taken delivery of an B8 A4 3.0tdi and whilst it pulls like a train in normal factory mode I'm REALLY tempted to remap it (should get about 280 - 290 bhp & almost 600Nm torque :aargh4:)

I stay Perth so the shortlist of 2 that I've drawn up are a Bluefin handset or an Evolution Chips remap. Bluefin seems to get okay reviews on this site (like everything you can't please all the people all the time) but I can't find anything about Evo chips, does anyone have any experience of them.

Your comments / advice are appreciated.

I had my A4 3.0 TDi remapped by a local firm, had it done 2.5 years ago and it was well worth the money. You will have a huge smile EVERY time you drive the car, only problem is the car is too eager and you find yourself doing silly speeds. Mine was (is until tomorrow) a 204 BHP and I think it went to 260-270 BHP.

You could use a V-Switch. They hold 2 levels of tune, plus your standard settings. So you could have an all-out performance tune and a tune that gives you a mix of added economy and performance for instance.

Both tuned files are custom written from your standard settings on your particular car by Viezu.

Hope this helps
