Hi all.

My A3's been into Audi today to have the tracking done on their special deal of £39.99.

I picked it up at half 5 and headed home, the service manager in the showroom told me it had an adjustment on the front (Inc in price) an that the Steering wheel is not 100% straight as a result and that if they remove the steering wheel and replace it on the next slot on the colar it will be still out but the other direction.

Half way home I phoned them to say I wasn't happy with it as its further out than i expected but reception advised me the guy I was dealing with had gone home and to call back in the morning. Before I fire some F's into them am I right in thinking the steering wheel can be straightened up by adjusting both wheels?

Sure I've had this done before at kwikfit on previous cars??

Hi,

Your right, you can adjust the steering wheel position by adjusting both the track rod ends in different directions.

They should have held the steering wheel in the straight ahead position while adjusting.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Andy,

They can have it back and sort it then. Not the service I expected from a main dealer.
