My gearbox ecu or else probleam

Hi everyone.
Iam new to the forum and here is my story. I have an audi a6 2002 multitronic petrol i had the ecu issue and got some diagnostic done by 3 different specialists they all said that the juddering of the gar and the loss of drive every now and than was a gear box ecu. Bought the ecu new from audi got it installed still no improvment apart from the fact that the prnds dont flash as often as before.but the juddering is still there now guys please help me out what coulf that be. The car shows no fault on the diagnostics but still hesitating on pull away and juddering is getting worse iam almost running out of money.. Where do i go??? Does anyone knows if the ecu when bought from audi new is it plug and go type of thing???

i would imagine the ecu will need coding, did you fit it yourself? im assumin so as otherwise youd have taken it back to the garage that did it seen as its not right.

I bought it in audi and took to a audi specialist to fit it for me . He said that the ecu dosent need coding as it comes from germany with the latest software on it and it is plug and go.. But i dont know dan i am really in the dark here.. After the ecu is in the car does it need programming ? Or it comes programmed ? Do you know?

I would have thought it would need coding to your VIN but im not 100% on audi's as ive done little ecu wise on them.

Id take it back to the garage as at the end of the day, you took it to them to be fixed and they diagnosed the ecu too and it isnt fixed, so its on them.
