hi the dpf ligth has come on on my 07 audi a4 sline quattro. i drove it hard and went out but has come back on an will not go off after being driven hard again. what could solve this or what should i do? hope it not costly. thanks hope for replys

It may respond to a forced regeneration which requires a diagnostic computer but sometimes the pressure sensor has to be replaced and occasionally the DPF will not reg and has to be replaced at a cost of nearly £1K. You must start with a fault code read an take care as forcing the DPF to reg has been known to causes fires in some cases as the DPF often runs at over 850°c during regen.

I had similar issue but if you have Audi/RAC cover they will come out and reset it for you.

if it is just a sensor that wont be too bad. will a regen not do itself or will i need to hook it up to vag. or will a reset of faults fix this. thanks
