Glove box lid vs sunglass's ouch

I have just had a self inflicted bank holiday pocket burner:aargh4:.....slammed the glove box with my sunglass's hard case on left hand side, that caused left hinge at bottom of lid to split in half. Have removed, hot glued and refitted but the int light activator assembly on left hand side proved to much for the glued joint. Can I buy a lid on its own or do I need to fork out for the whole box??? Any places to go to for a bargin or do I trawl the scappys? I guess a £££ trip if I went to local dealership. Your ever wonderful guidance and experiences are very welcome.

Paul20v, thanks for replying to my thread. I will get part number sorted. Sounds like I wont have to smash the piggy bank too hard then. Regards A4 fan.

You can buy the light actuator assembly seperate.
The glove box lid will be at least £110.They are a pig to replace,you have to knock out the pins holding the hinges.(not an easy job)

Quattrogary, Thanks for the advice re glove box. I have already shown the hinge pins who's boss. Time to break the piggy bank open now instead. kind regards, A4 fan.

try the bay for a sh box or door theres pleant around
