Evening everyone
Some time ago, my A8 (4.2 98) wipers packed up. For a while the fault was intermittent, but it's worked for a few months now, without a hiccup. I did notice when I was doing some recent brake work, that where the wires go into the wiper motor, there is a clump of black sealant. Is that normally there? It doesn't look particularly neat. Thought that if it's not 'normal', that it might be where a previous owner has attempted a repair.
Are faulty wipers a known fault? Is the problem usually the motor, or something else?
