B6 tow bar

Just been told by the tow bar fitters that the B6 bar won't fit the B7. Can anyone confirm this before I stump up £350.00 for a new one.
If this is true I will have a tow bar free to good home for a B6 estate collection only. I will be annoyed if it turns up on e-bay though so only get in touch if you need it.

I believe there is a clearance issue with new bumper so yes it will bolt on but the tow ball is too close to the rear bumper.
