Tried searching this forum for an answer but can't find anything resembling the same issue.
Without the heating on as I get to 58mph or quicker there's a low whistling noise come from the drivers side behind the vent, I hadn't noticed it until the wife mentioned it and now I pick up on it all the time and need the radio on to mask it! :o
Has anyone got any ideas on what it might be?? or had/having the same issue?

Cheers

If you have climate control try switching the 'Recirc' button ON.

I wouldn't describe it as a whistle, and I think it's more from the passenger side than drivers side, but at at about that speed with 'Recirc' OFF I certainly have noisy ventilation. If I turn the 'Recirc' ON then it's quiet. It must be something to do with the way the air enters the cabin through the recirc flap/pollen filter.

If it is this, it seems it's a known issue/quirk of the car. I've heard the 'ozone' pollen filter dulls the sound a bit (presumably it baffles the air little better) but haven't got round to trying this yet. I just turn the 'Recirc' ON (until the windscreen gradually mists up and then I put up with the noise!).

Thanks a lot Sqwim for you response, I'll give that a whirl on my way home tonight.

Yeah I wouldn't describe it as a whsitle either but trying to describe what it sounds like is hard.
